Over the next while I searched the internet for
information on the house but never got back any results relating to any thing
that would indicate a death.
I contact the land registry office and received a copy of
the deeds. This showed that there was 18
owners of the house. The previous owners
had been in the house six months. The
owners before that had remained there eight years. All other owners had been there on average
less then a year.
I
asked the helpful neighbour about the owners prior to the
previous owners. He laughed he said you
really want to know about the house and asked what it was. I just said I
am very nosey and smiled. He explained the prior owners lived in the
house about three months and then rented it out. He went on to say that
there must have been
at least six tenants in the house over that period.
I researched the internet with the names I had from the copy
of the deeds but did not uncover anything.
If only I had the names of the people the house was rented to during that
period.
Mail would come for different people at times and I would
research each name.
Still nothing uncovered.
Still stuff going missing, still noise, still the shadow, still the icy
cold and still the recurring smell.
